Haus Walserhof enjoys a central and sunny, yet quiet location in the heart of Malbun at an altitude of 1,600 meters: the ideal starting point for your winter holidays and hiking vacations. The small grocery store, the Sareis cable cars, the ski school meeting point, and the sports shop are all within 200 meters of the house. For your convenience, parking for the holiday apartments is available directly at the house year-round.

Das Haus Walserhof liegt an zentralster und sonnigster, aber dennoch ruhiger Lage, mitten im Herzen von Malbun auf 1600 Metern Höhe: Der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ihre Winterferien und Ihren Wanderurlaub.
Der kleine Lebensmittelladen, die Bergbahnen Sareis, der Skischulsammelplatz und das Sportgeschäft befinden sich maximal 100 Meter vom Haus entfernt.
Für Ihren Komfort stehen ganzjährig Parkplätze beim Haus zur Verfügung.


4-room holiday apartment
This beautiful, cozy apartment with high ceilings is located on the top floor. With three double bedrooms, it's ideal for up to six people seeking relaxation and peace in nature, yet still appreciating the central location. The sunny southwest-facing balcony with mountain views is the perfect place to enjoy the winter and summer sun. Pure relaxation awaits in the evenings with the crackling fire.
Equipment of the 4-room apartment:
-Living/dining area with corner bench and sofa corner with satellite TV and radio with CD player
-3 double rooms, of which 1 double room is equipped with a sink
-2 bathrooms each with a shower, a toilet and a sink
-Kitchenette with dishwasher, refrigerator, small oven, filter coffee machine, 2-burner stove and 2 additional hotplates, toaster, fondue set for cheese and meat fondue, raclette set, food cupboard for your groceries
-Southwest-facing balcony with dining table and 4 chairs and 2 deck chairs
We provide free of charge:

-Fruit and chamomile tea
-Salt
-Pepper
-Oil
-Sugar
-baking paper
-Cosmetic wipes
-Toilet paper
-Waste disposal
A travel cot and a children's table seat are available upon request.

Therefore, noise and dust from the neighboring property may occur during this time. According to the developer, little to no work is planned on Saturdays. If you're planning a hiking vacation or excursions from Malbun and will only be in the apartment in the evenings, the construction site next door won't bother you. This is "the" opportunity to spend an affordable yet wonderful vacation in a clean and well-maintained vacation apartment, centrally located in Malbun and with a parking space in front of the house.
Price example: Summer holiday for 2 adults in a 4-room apartment for 7 nights for a flat rate of CHF 999.00!
It is also possible to rent only part of the apartment for 2-4 people at a reduced rate. Please contact us in this case or with any other questions at jkaufmann@adon.li.
Minimum rental period:
-During the off-season: 2 nights
-From 5 July 2025 to 15 August 2025: 5 nights
-During the 2025/2025 ski season: 7 nights
During the 2025/2026 ski season, the 4-room apartment is still available during the following periods:
-3 to 10 January 2026
-28 February to 7 March 2026
-28 March to a maximum of 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday, expected end of the ski season in Malbun)

About Us
In December 2023, we, Franka and Johannes Kaufmann, took over the rental of the 4-room holiday apartment in Haus Walserhof, Malbun, from our mother-in-law and mother Elsa Kaufmann.
We are delighted to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to explore the beauty of Malbun and Liechtenstein, to be active in nature, to spend time with their families and to relax in the tranquility of the Alps by renting out our holiday apartments.
The location of Haus Walserhof is ideal, especially for families with children, as the ski school meeting point, the ski slope, the Sareis chairlift, and the grocery store are just a few steps away. In addition, one parking space per apartment is available free of charge directly in front of the house all year round, there is space for storing skis and bobsleighs, and free Wi-Fi rounds off the amenities.
Haus Walserhof has five apartments, one of which we use ourselves on weekends and during the holidays, three are rented out year-round, and one is rented out to holiday guests. When we have some spare time outside of renting out the apartments, we can often be found on the ski slopes with our sons in the winter. In the summer, we have climbed almost every peak in the Malbun area and spent many hours at the beautiful water playground at the entrance to Malbun. Johannes, who spent most of his childhood in Malbun, knows all the names of the mountains around Malbun and Liechtenstein and is happy to give tips on hiking routes.
For us, Malbun means switching off from everyday life and immersing yourself in another world. We hope you, too, will be as enthusiastic about Malbun as many of our guests and find peace and relaxation.
We would be delighted to welcome you to the Walserhof (we also speak English, some French and some Italian).
About the Walserhof:
The Walserhof Restaurant-Hotel was built by Alois and Maria Schädler-Hilbe in 1963 and subsequently run by their three daughters. After two of the three daughters married, the property was leased out until one of them, Elsa Kaufmann-Schädler, took over the restaurant and hotel herself. As part of this process, the hotel rooms were converted into vacation apartments. After the Walserhof landlady's retirement, a new tenant was found from 2014 to 2022. Since 2022, the vacation apartments have been rented out by the Kaufmann family themselves. The restaurant will remain closed until a new tenant is found.
